With its member organizations the OECO connects students and community members to outdoor and experiential learning opportunities through Ontario curriculum-based programs, day camps and community events. These programs aim to:
- Increase knowledge about nature and natural processes
- Increase environmental literacy
- Develop outdoor skills to explore nature and the out-of-doors
- Expose students to the joys of the wondrous natural world
