Discover Ottawa Outdoor Education with Community Programs
Many of the Outdoor Education centres offer programs for community members throughout the year. As well, many of these locations are open to the general public for a variety of activities. The OECO encourages all community members to participate in the wide range of community programs – many of them free! – available at OECO member sites. As programs change according to season, please contact the centres directly to learn more about available programs and facilities. Following are a few examples of programs and activities available for community members:
  • MacSkimming’s annual Maplefest
  • Mill of Kintail artist events
  • Bill Mason’s annual Fall Family Day
  • Cross-Country skiing at Bonnenfant (Trails maintained by the Kanata Nordic Ski Club)
  • Forest nature trail walking and Eco Tour at South Nation Conservation partner site, Sand Road Sugar Camp
  • Beach swimming, picnic sites, and renewable energy display at Baxter
